Recombinant antibodies

You send the sequence. We send back purified, characterised antibody.

Full-length IgG, fragments and single domains, expressed in the system that suits the format. No immunisation, no hybridomas — this is recombinant production from a sequence you already have.

31working days

Sequence to purified IgG

50–300mg / L

Typical transient IgG yield

6formats

IgG, Fab, scFv, VHH, Fc fusion, bispecific

RUO

Research grade, not therapeutic

Formats

Six formats, each in the system that actually suits it.

One convention runs through the drawings below: a bar is a polypeptide chain, and the darker green is the variable region that does the binding.

Full-length IgG

CHO

Human IgG1, IgG2 and IgG4, plus mouse and rabbit backbones. Protein A capture, non-reduced purity check included.

Fab / F(ab′)₂

CHO or E. coli

Where the Fc gets in the way — structural work, tissue penetration studies, or avoiding Fc receptor binding.

scFv

E. coli

Fast and cheap. Good for screening panels of binders before committing to full IgG.

VHH / nanobody

E. coli

Single domain, expresses well in bacteria, our quickest route to a working binder.

Fc fusion

CHO

Receptor ectodomains, traps and decoys, purified on Protein A like an antibody.

Bispecific

CHO

Knob-into-hole and similar formats. Tell us the architecture — assembly and purity strategy depend on it.

recombinant IgG, 1 L transient CHO

Fragments and single domains expressed in E. coli are considerably cheaper — see the full price list. Bispecifics are quoted individually, because the architecture drives the work.

Questions

About recombinant antibodies

Do you raise antibodies, or only make them?

We make them. Send us sequences — from your own discovery campaign, a computational design, a published clone or a patent — and we express and purify them. We do not run immunisations or hybridoma work.

I have heavy and light chain sequences. What else do you need?

The isotype and species you want, the format, roughly how much material, and what you plan to do with it. That last one matters: material destined for a cell assay is handled differently from material going into a binding experiment.

Can you make an antibody described in a patent or a paper?

We can express a sequence you supply, and it is your responsibility to have the right to use it. We will not act as your freedom-to-operate assessment. Material is supplied for research use only in every case.

What about anti-idiotypic antibodies?

If you have the sequence, we express it like any other antibody. Discovery of a new anti-idiotypic binder against your drug is a different and much larger project — talk to us about it, but do not expect it on this timeline.

Do you measure binding?

Yes, by BLI — association and dissociation rates and an affinity constant, run against the antigen you supply or one we make for you. It is quoted as an add-on and takes about 5 working days, running alongside production rather than after it.

Will you supply antibodies for diagnostic kits?

Not as a regulated component. Everything we ship is research-grade and labelled research use only. If you are developing a diagnostic, you can use our material to explore and prototype, but the regulated supply chain is a different conversation with a different quality system behind it.

Have the sequences already?

Send the heavy and light chains, the isotype you want and roughly how much material. We will come back with a fixed price and a date.
