Questions

What people ask first

Do I need a plasmid, or is a sequence enough?

A sequence is enough. The 21 working days are counted from your enquiry and include codon optimisation, gene synthesis and cloning. If you already have a validated construct, it lands sooner.

What are the endotoxin levels?

On E. coli material, low as standard — measured and reported with the batch. It is how we work rather than an add-on, so bacterial material is normally ready for cell-based assays without a separate clean-up step. Endotoxin is a bacterial product, so it is not part of the standard QC panel on mammalian runs.

How much protein do I actually get?

10–100 mg from a standard 1 L E. coli culture for a well-behaved target, which is normally plenty for binding assays, structural work or a first functional test. Yield is target-dependent — we give you a realistic range in the quote rather than a number we cannot hit.

What if the protein does not express?

Some targets are simply hard, and we say so before taking the order rather than after. Where a target looks risky in the system you picked, we tell you what we would try instead, and we agree in writing what happens if it fails — before you commit.

Is this GMP material?

No. This is research-grade material for R&D use only. It is not for clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic use, and we do not supply it for those purposes.

What happens to my sequences?

They stay yours. We sign your NDA before you send anything, we do not reuse constructs across customers, and we do not retain material after a project closes unless you ask us to.
